    Abstract

    Paul Stephan and James Alger, interviewed by John Wells, October 26, 2010: Audio recording and transcript. Paul Stephan and James Alger both served in the U.S. Coast Guard at Station Charlevoix in the mid-1950s. Their work included transferring people and goods to light stations such as the one on South Fox Island. The interview discusses their work with the Coast Guard and some of the logistics involved with the light stations. Additional records relating to this oral history interview may be found at the Bentley Historical Libary in paper format.
