Dominique GUELLEC, European Patent Office

Dominique GUELLEC is chief economist at the European Patent Office, the Europe-wide patents granting authority based in Munich. His role is to inform EPO policy for economic related matters and to conduct studies and projects on economic aspects of patenting in Europe. Until December 2003 he was senior economist at OECD, responsible for science and technology indicators, notably R&D, human resources, innovation and patents. He has led projects and carried out various studies on research and development, technological change, patenting and economic growth. He has published three books and many academic articles on these topics.
