Biographical Information

Kurt Larsen, OECD

Kurt Larsen has a master degree in geography and a bachelor degree in mathematics from Aarhus University, Denmark in 1984. He has an international degree in public administration from Ecole National d'Administration, France in 1992. He has worked seven years in the Danish Ministry of Education and Science holding different posts latest as a private secretary to the Minister of Education. He was then appointed to a senior adviser for the Danish Prime Minister in the areas of education, research, information technologies and social affairs for three years. Since 1997 he has worked as a senior analyst at the Organisation for Economic Development and Co-operation (OECD) at the Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) and has recently been appointed to work in the Cabinet of the OECD. His areas of work include knowledge management in education; internationalisation and trade in education; investment in education and regional development, and the impact of information and communication technologies on education and learning.
