Methodology
  • Analysis of performance feedback summary studies by two coders, discussed, and consensus formed. See codebook.md for detailed description of column meanings. For more detailed explanation of methodology, see associated publication at  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7181510/.
Description
  • We use the term “performance summary display” (PSD) to mean a kind of visualization that relates performance levels to other types of information. In the context of healthcare organizations, PSDs are intended to be communicated to a healthcare professional, team, or organization.

  • Displays were identified, classified, and elements counted and coded. The performance summary display ontology provides a set of descriptions of components of displays that have been used to annotate performance feedback visualizations.

dimension_count.xlsx

Count data of the representing dimensions of the figures.
Data from each of two coders is in tabs coder1 and coder2.
Conculsion tab holds consensus data and exclusions.

Column Definitions

  • id: reference to the figure in the form of paperAbbreviation_publicationYear_figureNumber
  • measure: Count of the measure dimensions in the figure.
  • ascribee: Count of ascribee dimensions in the figure.
  • performance: Count of the perfomrance dimensions in the figure.
