    Abstract

Two digitized images of news clippings related to the Pacific World War II. One clipping depicts King and Queen Langlan of the island of Majuro driven in a jeep by Commander D.J. Brimm, U.S. Navy after the island's liberation. The other shows a Marine cutting down a flag of truce at a Japanese naval base near Sasebo on Kyushu, Japan.
