    Abstract

The murders of seven young women in the 1960s shocked the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area. At the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor Morning Edition meeting, June 29, 2011, the chief law enforcement officer, former Washtenaw County Sherrif Douglas J. Harvey reflects on the investigation leading to the arrest of John Norman Collings. Bill Treml, former Ann Arbor News crime beat reporter, also contributes his recollections.
