dc.description.abstractThe Michigan Metrics Project is part of a larger strategic planning project, called Vision 2000: "The Leaders and the Best..." In brief, this vision statement's guiding principle is that leadership and quality are the most important characteristics in determining the impact of the University of Michigan on society, the state, the nation, and the world. Accordingly, the primary objective of this project is to position the University of Michigan to become the leading university of the 21st century.
