dc.description.abstract | We Belong Outside is an exhibition design project that critiques the outdoor industry's negative impact on women's gear design, perpetuating sexist narratives and hindering women's participation in the outdoors. Through product design, research, artifacts, data, and visual analysis, it investigates how the outdoor industry has perpetuated problematic design and narratives over time. By reclaiming the outdoors for women through inclusive gear, We Belong Outside aims to empower women's participation in outdoor activities. | |
