Objectives: 1. After the IPE breast case study session, the students will report a greater understanding of the other professions’ roles and responsibilities. 2. Post-survey questions related to the care of a patient with breast cancer will determine whether each profession has accurately understood the other professions’ roles and responsibilities. Methods: Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the United States and both radiation Therapists and physical therapists are commonly referred to for the care of these patients. Students enrolled in a physical therapy program and students from a radiation therapy program participated in a face to face interprofessional education (IPE) breast case review. Results: Pre and post IPE surveys were matched by using a de-identified number. Mean score for the matched surveys (n=41) for the pre-IPE survey was 26.9 (SD=8.4) and for the post-IPE survey was 15 (SD=4.5) this demonstrated a significant improvement using a 2 tailed t-test (p<0.00).en_US
