dc.description.abstract | Michigan Baja Racing is a student project team that designs, builds, tests, and competes an off-road racecar every year. When designing their car, the team cannot collect all critical data from the vehicle and instead relies on “guess and check” strategies to drive design. This project aims to create a multifunction dynamometer that can collect data–operating speeds, torques, efficiencies, and temperatures–on the engine, gearbox, transmission, and brakes, to more accurately drive the design and tuning of these components. | |
