dc.description.abstract | Mild, non-acidic conditions used in the non-aqueous diazotization of a 2-aminobenzimidazole nucleoside with t-butyl nitrite gave an unexpected 4-nitrobenzimidazol-2-one nucleoside which was not formed when primary alkyl nitrites were used. The isolated compounds were evaluated for activity against herpesviruses and for cytotoxicity against human foreskin fibroblast cells. | en_US |
