Although it is an integral part of the larger institution, the College of Pharmacy has an enrollment of around 300 students. As a result, pharmacy students have access to all the facilities offered by a large university, yet enjoy the advantages of belonging to a small, close-knit group. Since its organization in 1900, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) has set the educational standards for the practice of pharmacy. The University of Michigan College of Pharmacy is a member of the AACP.
