Abstract:
The University of Michigan Health System is comprised of three hospitals, 40 health centers and 120 outpatient clinics located throughout the region and handles more than one million outpatient visits and 35,000 inpatients annually. The University Hospitals are a training resource for approximately 4,000 students a year. The Health System is affiliated with the University of Michigan Medical School and the Schools of Dentistry, Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, and the College of Pharmacy. This collection currently contains an archived version of a public condolences and memories page hosted by the Health System after a June 4, 2007 Survival Flight plane crash claimed the lives of a six-member transplant team shortly after their takeoff from Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport.
