Abstract
Archived version of a public condolences and memories page hosted by the Health System in the aftermath of a Survival Flight plane crash on June 4, 2007 shortly after takeoff from Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport. Marlin Air pilots Dennis Hoyes and Bill Serra along with David Ashburn, M.D., a fellow in cardiothoracic surgery; Richard Chenault II, a transplant donation specialist with the U-M Transplant Program; Ricky LaPensee, a transplant donation specialist with the U-M Transplant Program; and Martinus Spoor, M.D., a cardiac surgeon, were all killed as they attempted to bring a pair of lungs back to Ann Arbor for a transplant surgery.Other Identifiers
