GROCS is an annual program at the University of Michigan that awards $2,500 grants to students whose rich media projects are exceptionally compelling, especially in their potential to enhance collaborative learning. GROCS defines rich media as any digital media that includes a time-based component; for instance: audio, video animation, virtual reality constructions or other data visualized over time. GROCS projects explore ways that rich media might be integrated in a future academic environment, where the limitations of our current infrastructure and practices don't exist. Visit the main GROCS site for more information and to see current projects underway.
